Couples Counseling and
Relationship Counseling
Trust and communication are the foundation of a healthy, balanced relationship. Relationship therapy empowers you to enhance your communication skills to reconnect, rebuild trust, and reaffirm these foundations to address the changes and challenges of life.
This includes premarital or marital counseling or support for a family navigating a separation or divorce. Amelia also provides co-parenting education for those experiencing separation and/or divorce.

Christian Counseling is based on biblical truth and incorporates faith-based principles with traditional counseling practices. It is uniquely situated to focus on the integration of spiritual concerns with the challenges of everyday life and mental health issues. Christian counseling may be integrated into the therapeutic approach as desired by the client.
Made popular during the pandemic, Telehealth counseling offers an avenue to pursue counseling without having to leave your home or office. This can also be beneficial for those who do not want to disrupt their therapy if they are traveling within the state of Louisiana.
Amelia is a certified telehealth provider available to serve Louisiana residents.
Play Therapy
Play therapy provides a relaxed setting for children to learn how to communicate with others, express feelings, modify behavior, and develop problem-solving skills. In a safe and approachable environment, play therapy utilizes toys, art, and games to facilitate discussion with children to address complex feelings and thoughts about their problems in a way that is appropriate to their development.
In order to provide a well-rounded treatment plan, Amelia often consults with school counselors, pediatricians, primary care physicians, and psychiatrists.
Amelia is qualified to provide screening assessments to enhance client treatment. If further diagnostic tools are required, a referral for a psychiatrist or psychologist will be discussed.
