Meet
Amelia Lapeyrouse, LPC, NCC
Amelia Lapeyrouse is the founder and owner of AVL Counseling Services. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and a certified telehealth provider in Louisiana.
After her time on inpatient psychiatric units and within the private practice setting, Amelia gained extensive experience working with all ages on various concerns such as anxiety, depression, learning disorders, substance abuse, grief and loss, trauma, family and relationship issues, and parent education.

She is excited to continue to provide mental health services to the members of her Baton Rouge community, as well as throughout Louisiana, such as in Hammond, New Orleans, Lafayette, Monroe, Mandeville, and Covington.
When she’s not at work, Amelia loves to spend time outdoors, reading, baking, and traveling with her husband, Jeremy, and their four children.
Individual therapy gives you the space to work toward change and process things that may be hard to face alone. Amelia's areas of focus span an array of mental health concerns like anxiety, depression, substance abuse, grief and trauma, life transitions, women's issues, communication skills, and children.

Family counseling provides a structured setting for the family system to address emotional, psychological, and behavioral concerns. The goal is to develop functional relationships with healthy boundaries. Family therapy is available as a stand alone service or as an additional service to individual counseling.
